After completing a thirty year career as an Ambulance Paramedic and Paramedic Educator, Steve Moore made the decision to change direction and learn more about his lifelong hobby of brewing and distilling. As a hobbyist, he began brewing his own varieties of beer and enjoyed that so much he branched out into wine making, encouraged by winning several awards for his fruit wines at the Australian Fruit Wine Festivals, held annually in Hobart.
His next challenge was to investigate the science of distillation.
With a keen interest, he completed qualifications from the
International Brewers and Distillers Association in Scotland in 2016.
After moving to the Bega Valley and with further development of processes and recipes, Little Whiskers Distillery was established at Little Whiskers Farm and has been in operation since July 2023.
